It is important to carry out this operation correctly and safely, since if the belt is not replaced as it touches and becomes too tight, it will cause an extra effort in the rotation in such a way that the pump shaft will gradually give way, causing a fluid leakage and even producing chafing on the propeller blades.
Dismantling of the water pump
It is important to never under-estimate the degree that water pump impeller and housing design contributes to water pump efficiency. Most of the wear that occurs on a water pump is on the internal parts of the unit and therefore, can’t be seen until opened up.
